Major Medical is accepting resumes for is accepting resumes for a General Manager supporting the Pueblo and surrounding markets. The General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Operations and Managing the branch by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining; communicating company values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Our home medical equipment and respiratory experts are here to evaluate customers’ individual needs, and help them find the most beneficial products and services. We are here to assist with consultation, selection and fitting of products, training and instruction.

Core Responsibilities:

·         Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation; Prepare staff schedules on-call rotation calendar

·         Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities

·         Address referral, patient satisfaction issues promptly

·         Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company in the Pueblo and surrounding markets

·         Responsible for the coordination and execution of day-to-day operations of the departments under his/her supervision. Optimizes and actively manages the work hours of employees and assets of the Pueblo Branch

·         Is expected to have a clear understanding and working knowledge of the financial statements of each department under his/her supervision, identifying and implementing improvements for the profitability of each work unit

·         Develops, tracks and controls an annual operating budget for the area, including developing ways to reduce costs and improve profitability

·         Integrates the organization's business plan, goals and action items, including financial forecasts through day-to-day decisions and communications

·         Lead effective and efficient meetings and presentations with employees, customers and/or referrals

·         Develops leadership among employees, selects and maintains a multi-functional, diversified, well-trained, motivated and empowered workforce. Models innovative approaches. Actively participates in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of personnel

·         Administers compliance of fleet policies and procedures. Provides leadership to optimize vehicle utilization and minimize life cycle cost

·         Ensures compliance with numerous federal, state and local laws, regulations codes and ordinances, e.g. Operator Qualification, CDOT, EPA, OSHA, PUC, etc., to include in OQ performance evaluations

·         Participates in industry/professional forums in order to stay abreast of industry standards

·         Attend/Travel to Monthly Meetings as required

·         Administers compliance of procedures and reporting for the effective management of material inventory. Drives the accurate collection and entry of data in tracking system including location of material, quantity on hand, value, etc.

·         Delivers continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency

·         Proficient in the successful mentoring, coaching and discipline of branch employees for the improvement of performance and preparation for additional responsibilities

·         Ability to fill in in the event the branch is understaffed

·         Oversee retail sales, inventory control

·         Understanding of all Branch Functions

·         Other Duties as directed by VP of Operations

 

Required Skills & Experience

·         Previous durable medical equipment (DME) experience is preferred

·         5 consecutive years of experience as a GM or Management role

·         Must be dedicated to providing outstanding customer service

·         Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and correspondences

·         Valid Driver’s License

·         Leadership

·         Team Development

·         Maintain professionalism with all employees and customers at all times.

·         System proficiency (Fastrack)

 

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·         The ability to operate a 14-16 foot truck in a safe manner is essential

·         The ability to follow a city map and navigate a new daily route is required

·         Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills are necessary as is the ability to remain customer service oriented during situations in which patients or caregivers may be frustrated or upset

·         The ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions is required to ensure accurate completion of DME deliveries, exchanges and pick-ups

·         Working knowledge and experience with smart phones is required to relay information to customer service and perform on-call coverage

·         Ability to utilize basic tools e.g., wrench, screwdrivers etc. to set up durable medical equipment

 

Physical Requirements and Demands:

·         Lifting – up to 70 lbs

·         Bending, climbing, standing, sitting for long periods of time

·         Regular and continuous eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity is required to set up durable medical equipment.

·         Frequent bending, twisting, grasping and squeezing and occasional kneeling. Climbing stairs, reaching above the shoulder is required to retrieve, store and set up durable medical equipment

·         Ability to use basic tools (e.g. screwdrivers, wrench, etc.) to set up durable medical equipment
