We are currently accepting applications for a Collector in our busy Billing office. This position will be responsible for collection activities within the Billing Department for Major Medical. Experience in DME/Home Health care a plus! Interested applicants, please send your cover letter and resume.

Our home medical equipment and respiratory experts are here to evaluate customers’ individual needs, and help them find the most beneficial products and services. We are here to assist with consultation, selection and fitting of products, training and instruction.

Duties include:
•Collection of Accounts
•Understanding/Experience with insurance requirements (Medicare, Medicaid, Third Party and Private Pay)
•Understanding/Experience in DME industry
•Resolving outstanding AR accounts
•Patient relations – assisting with patient calls about their bills, services, collection calls, etc.
•Scanning Patient Files
•Understanding of Paperwork Process & Billing Procedures
•Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:
•Proficient with basic software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
•Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing activities
•Ability to logically solve problems with little supervision
•Initiative and the ability to figure things out on your own
•Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information

Preferred Requirements:
•High school diploma or GED equivalent
•Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background investigation
•Experience in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME field and administrative work
